Our new Board member, Kathrin Schertenleib, has been known to be very talented in many fields. Studying Medicine in Pleven, Bulgaria at the moment, she used to be a Buddhist nun with the name of Ayya Patacara, ordained by Bhante Sujato.<\/p>\n

While staying at Santi Forest Monastery in Australia, she made some very beautiful art. Amongst others the intricate snake-mozaic around the stupa:<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

And she spent nearly 2 years carving a large Buddha-statue in the big cave:<\/p>\n
