The statue was crafted by a well-known artist in Sri Lanka (Kanishka Sithmal) and shipped to Europe. Together with the statue came 5 images of the great disciples of the Budda: Khem\u0101, Uppalava\u1e47\u1e47\u0101, Mah\u0101moggall\u0101na, S\u0101riputta and Soreyya (by Gayan Chanuka Vidanapathirana).
