Vesakh 2026

This year we have another Vesakh celebration and iSangha reunion from 29th to 31st May. The main event is on Saturday if you wish to come for just one day. It’s a special occasion that celebrates the birth, enlightenment, and passing away of the Buddha. There will be a program of meditations, chanting, dhamma talks, and sharing together. And of course, a wonderful occasion for seeing each other live, and not via Zoom!

Friday 29th May

from 14.00 arrival, settling in
17.00 Tea time
18.00 iSangha evening chanting and guided meditation
19.00 Welcome, taking of the 8 precepts, and household announcements

Saturday 30th May

6.00 Morning meditation and chanting
7.00 Morning reflection
7.30 Breakfast
8.30 Breakfast cleanup and chores
9.00 Guided meditation
10.00 Kitchen preparation
11.00 Dana (Lunch) and chanting (until appr. 11:15) (Please bring food to share)
12.00 Kitchen cleanup
13.30 Program with Dhamma talks, guided meditations and more
17.00 Tea time
18.00-19.00 Chanting and guided meditation (English/French)

Sunday 31st May

6.00 Morning meditation and chanting
7.00 Morning reflection
7.30 Breakfast
8.30 Breakfast cleanup and chores
9.00 Guided meditation
10.00 Kitchen preparation
11.00 Dana (Lunch) and chanting (until appr. 11:15) (Please bring food to share)

We have rented a couple of houses for those interested in staying for the entire weekend. Together with the space in the monastery, there are a total of 16 places available. But you are also welcome to stay at the campground, which has now become a “silent campsite”, or you can come just for the main event on Saturday.
