The Buddhist Perspective on Happiness by Ani Tenzin Wangmo – 10th August 2022

Wednesday 10th August 2022, 19.30-21.00 CEST

This Dhamma talk about the buddhist perspective on happiness will combine the wisdom of the brahma viharas with the circumstances and needs of our contemporary time. We will take a look at two types of happiness and their natures, see how happiness boosts our path and plays an important role against non-virtuous behavior. We will look at what to cultivate and what to abandon to build the causes for happiness. In this talk Ani Wangmo will also touch on the topics of depression, anxiety and burnout.

And last but not least, we will be applying this theory into practice through a short meditation which we can continue to apply during our daily practice.

We hope that this talk and meditation will help you to make another step further in developing a peaceful, stable, happy state of mind and empowering us on our dharma journey.

Donations for this event will go towards travel expenses for Ani Wangmo so she can fulfill her dream to live and learn in a monastery of her lineage.

Ani Tenzin Wangmo is the co-founder of Slovenian hospice to provide the education needed for hospice work. She has two university degrees on death and dying (sociology and philosophy) and did several short meditation retreats on this topic during her studies. Ani Wangmo has worked for decades with elderly or dying people, their relatives and with mourning, both in the Buddhist context and in general.
